About the Paintings
Two of my greatest loves in life are travel and art. After several years of travelling abroad, I returned home and started painting my favorite travel destinations. I then realized that my style of simple designs and bright colors also works well for children's images and expanded my collection to include kids paintings to decorate children’s rooms.

My paintings are created with gloss enamels on illustration board. While working in West Africa for two years with the Peace Corps, I wanted to continue to paint but didn’t have any materials with me. One day, I went on a search around town to find any type of paint available and found small cans of touch-up car paint that I used on scraps of paper lying around my hut. Upon returning to the U.S., I tried oils and acrylics but didn’t like the consistency. I found that enamels were as close to the car paint as I could get and have used them ever since.
